The Packaging That Keeps Your Product Fresh Is About to Become Unsellable in Europe

The Problem

If your company sells anything that has to stay fresh — coffee, snacks, pet food, ready meals, cheese, processed food, or any product that must be kept from oxygen, moisture, or light — there is a strong chance that the packaging doing that job is about to become unsellable in the European Union. This is not a distant sustainability aspiration. It is a directly applicable regulation, with fixed dates, that reaches almost every company placing a packaged product on the European market, including importers, and including the smallest firms.
